Deploying changed maps to CTE

When you finish uploading changes to the map, you can deploy the changed map to CTE to do end-to-end testing.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Mappings. Then, select the map that you want to deploy. In the Upload modified map card, the source map, compiled map, and input test file must already be uploaded successfully.
  2. In the Deploy to CTE card, click Deploy to CTE.
  3. Wait for the deployment process to complete and make sure that the deployment status is successful.
    • If you want to cancel the deployment for any reason, click Cancel deployment.
    • If transformation test errors occurred, the deployment to CTE fails. The transformation test can fail for many reasons.
Important: If the deployment fails, refer to the on-screen error information. If the deployment fails due to transformation errors, download the transformation test report file and the transformation test output file to diagnose the issue.
    • If the deployment fails due to validation errors, review the quality review report and, if needed, contact IBM® Support. For more information about the quality review report, see Reviewing the map quality review report.
    • If a connectivity issue occurred, try your deployment again.

What to do next

After your changes are deployed to CTE, you need to test the map by running document flows in CTE that use the new map. The map is also eligible for a production readiness review (if the review is needed).
Tip: If you deploy a map to CTE, but then determine that you no longer want to update it, you can revert the changes. This scenario does not occur often. For more information, see Reverting map or code list changes.
