Deploying a code list to CTE

When you finish uploading changes to the code list, you can deploy the changed code list to CTE to do end-to-end testing.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Code lists. Then, open the Code list details page for the code list that you want to deploy.
  2. On the Modified code list page, click the Upload modified code list card.
    The code list file must already be uploaded successfully.
  3. On the Deploy to CTE card, click Deploy to CTE.
  4. Wait for the deployment process to complete and ensure that the deployment status is successful.
    Important: The user interface updates you on the status of the deployment. Do not exit the page until the user interface notifies you that you can.
    • If the deployment is successful, the minor version of the code list is increased (for example, from 1.1 to 1.2).
    • If the deployment fails, refer to the on-screen error information.
    • If a connectivity issue occurred, try the deployment again.

What to do next

After your changes are deployed to CTE, it is suggested that you run document flows in CTE that use the new code list. Then, you can deploy the code list to production.
Tip: If you deploy a code list to CTE, but then determine that you no longer want to update it, you can revert the changes. This scenario does not occur often. For more information, see Reverting map or code list changes.
