- Communication
- Payment Feature Services communicates in many different ways, such as with its internal components, middleware, and other applications.
- File system
- You might want to further restrict the file permissions for the files used by Payment Feature Services. Default file permissions were set when Payment Feature Services was installed.
- IBM® MQ
- Queues can be used to send financial data in Payment Feature Services.

- Browser sessions are used for the Payment Feature Services components and WebSphere® Application Server.
