Investigating the performance of hosts

To detect performance issues, view the charts and the information that is collected about hosts.

Before you begin

You must add the hosts that you want to monitor and performance data must be collected.

About this task

You can investigate the performance of hosts, the internal resources of hosts such as VMDKs and data stores, and the resources that are related to hosts such as block storage systems and fabrics.

Procedure

  1. From the Resources menu, click Hosts.
  2. Click the Host Performance tab.

Results

The chart shows the total I/O rate and the overall response times of the hosts that were added for monitoring.
