Integrating with TRIRIGA Application Suite

Starting in IBM® Maximo® Monitor v9.0, you can integrate with IBM TRIRIGA® Application Suite to unify your location hierarchies and enable more advanced IoT device monitoring and analytics.

Before you begin

Create a TRIRIGA Application Suite administrative user specifically for this integration. Ensure that the account can access OSLC APIs.

You can configure only one integration with TRIRIGA Application Suite.

Procedure

  1. In Maximo Monitor, on the Integrations tab, click Add integration.
  2. Select TRIRIGA Application Suite and click Next.
  3. In the Integration name field, specify a name.
  4. In the TRIRIGA URL field, specify the URL for your TRIRIGA Application Suite instance.
  5. In the Administrative user ID field, specify the administrative user's ID.
  6. In the Administrative password field, specify the administrative user's password.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Click Configure hierarchy synchronization.
  9. For a hierarchy that you want to synchronize, click the three-dot menu and click Turn on sync. When a hierarchy is synchronized, all buildings, floors, and spaces in the hierarchy in TRIRIGA Application Suite are duplicated in Maximo Monitor. Changes to those buildings, floors, or spaces in TRIRIGA Application Suite are available in Maximo Monitor.
It can take a few minutes to initially populate the table. It can take up to an hour to retrieve new data from TRIRIGA Application Suite. Both draft and active buildings, floors, and spaces are included in the table.
  10. Specify the Maximo Monitor hierarchy that TRIRIGA Application Suite will synchronize with. The buildings, floors, and spaces are displayed under the System node for that hierarchy. You cannot change this setting later, but you can unsynchronize the hierarchy, delete the nodes, and then resynchronize.
The status for the hierarchy is changed to in progress. When the status is active, the hierarchy is synchronized with Maximo Monitor.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Optional: Edit the allocation type. The allocation type is an association between a space and one or more organizations. To edit to the type, click the three-dot menu and then click Edit allocation. By default, the allocation type is Chargeback.

What to do next

Complete the following steps:
  1. Add the devices that monitor the spaces to Maximo Monitor.
  2. Integrate with Cisco Spaces. For more information, see Integrating with Cisco Spaces.
  3. Integrate with Cisco Webex. For more information, see Integrating with Cisco Webex.

You can explore your TRIRIGA Application Suite and Maximo Monitor device data in dashboards. For more information, see Workplace Analytics dashboards.

If you turn off the synchronization for a hierarchy, new data for the hierarchy is not synced with Maximo Monitor. The buildings, floors, and spaces are not deleted. To delete a building, floor, or space from the hierarchy, on the Hierarchies tab, click the three-dot menu for the node and then click Archive.
