Migrating a Version 5 deployment
Use the Migration Utility to automate the migration of a version 5 deployment to a version 10 deployment.
Supported versions
- You can migrate APIC Connect Version 5.0.8.7 (or later point release) to API Connect Version
10.0.1 (or later point release). We always recommend migrating to the latest point release when possible.
- If your Version 5 system is older than the minimum, you must first upgrade it to the minimum version.
- Tip: For installations of API Connect 10.0.1 on VMware, we recommend migrating to 10.0.1.2-ifix1-eus or later because the virtual machine for 10.0.1.2-eus is based on a required version of the Ubuntu operating system. If you migrate to an older version of API Connect, such as 10.0.1.1-eus your VMware deployment will be on a down-level Ubuntu operating system which will force a complex operating system upgrade.
- The migration utility version must match the API Connect and DataPower version. Observe the
following Version 10 API Connect requirements:
- For Kubernetes, the installation operator version must match the API Connect version.
- For VMware, the
apicup
utility version must match the API Connect version.
