Configuring product search

To configure product search, enable appropriate resource permissions, bar code type, and other configurations.

Applications Manager

  • Resource permissions
    Enable the following resource permissions by using Applications Manager:
    • Find product - ISF000044
    • Override price - ISF000045

    The unit price is displayed as a link if Price override is enabled, otherwise it is displayed as text and cannot be overridden.

  • Bar code types
    Configure the following bar code type for your store by using Applications Manager:
    • Item. Used to scan non-serialized and serialized products in the Find product portlet. The following bar code validation sources must be configured at enterprise level:
      • ItemID
      • SIM Serial
  • Enable Order entry type for store at enterprise level by selecting the Allow cash and carry lines option in Applications Manager.

Sterling Business Center

  • Max radius and default radius. Set max and default radius to search for stores by using Sterling Business Center.
  • Sterling Business Center configurations support ITEM_IMAGE_LRG_1, ITEM_IMAGE_LRG_2, ITEM_IMAGE_LRG_3 and Item Image1 asset types for product type images.
