Enabling integration with IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising Capacity service

As a system integrator, you can set the properties that enable periodic sync for the integration with the Sterling™ Intelligent Promising Capacity service.

Before you begin

To enable the periodic sync, configure the agent in IBM Sterling® Order Management System.

If you need a real-time update for the capacity that is filled and freed, set the following events to ActiveFlag=”Y”.

  • ON_STD_CAPACITY_FREED
  • ON_STD_CAPACITY_FILLED
For more information, see Integrating with IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising Capacity service.

The event handler is configured in Applications Manager. You can mark it active to enable the capacity availability update on freed and filled. This configuration is optional as capacity is still synced through agent based on the trigger interval.

For a resource pool, when the capacity availability is synchronized with the Sterling Intelligent Promising Capacity service for the first time, Sterling Order Management System calls the IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising APIs to create the capacity workflow.

For every resource pool, only one workflow is created automatically. If a workflow exists, it gets overridden. The Sterling Order Management System resource pool ID is used as the category ID in the capacity workflow.
