Defining Sterling Configurator properties

You must set up a location for the files that are generated by the Sterling™ Configurator when a model item is defined. Additionally, you must define a location for the property files that are used by the Sterling Configurator.

To set up the Sterling Configurator:

Procedure

  1. Open the Applications Manager and select the application that you want.
  2. From the Application Platform tree, choose System Administration > Sterling Configurator. The Sterling Configurator window displays in the work area.
  3. Enter information in the applicable fields. Refer to Table 1 for field value descriptions.
  4. Choose the Save icon.

    Field Description
    Model Repository Specify a location for the model repository. The model repository stores the compiled XML files that are generated when a model item is compiled using the Sterling Configurator Visual Modeler. You can specify a local or network location.
    Location of property files Specify a location for the property files that are used by the Sterling Configurator.
    Rule Location Specify a location for the Java™ files that are generated when a model item is translated using the Sterling Configurator. These files define the Sterling Configurator rules for the model item.
