Enabling Order Hub AI agents

Enabling Order Hub AI agents activates the agents that support order search, inventory analysis, and supply risk insights for fulfillment teams. This configuration helps teams gain faster access to guided intelligence and improves decision‑making across order and inventory operations.

About this task

Order Hub AI agents require environment-level configuration to enable chat-based natural-language interactions and assisted routing. Make sure that you have administrator or planner permissions and that your environment is configured to support AI capabilities. For more information, see Finding your assigned Order Hub role.

Note: You can only enable the Order Hub AI agents in an IBM Sterling® Order Management System Cloud environment. You cannot enable AI agents in a developer toolkit environment.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the System Management Administrator (SMA). The default URL format is https://<server>:<port>/sma/sma/login.do.
  2. From the application home page, click System > Property Management.
  3. Search for the yfs.ai.enabled property.
  4. Highlight the property and click Manage Property.
    The system displays the Manage Properties page that includes the property details.
  5. Click Modify Value.
  6. In the New Value field, set the new property value to Y.
  7. In the User comments field, add new comments or update the existing comments.
  8. To save your changes, click OK.
  9. Validate that user groups have the permissions required to access and manage AI-related features in Order Hub. For more information, see Confirming AI-related permissions.
