The type of storage device you use for LAN-free data storage determines how to configure your environment.
As part of the configuration of your environment, you must identify
one of the following types of storage device you use:
- Automated Cartridge System Library Software (ACSLS), Small Computer System Interface (SCSI), virtual tape library (VTL), and 349x tape-library sharing
- File device sharing by using IBM® General Parallel File System (GPFS™)
- External libraries
Tivoli® Storage Manager for z/OS® Media storage
