Getting started for administrators

As an administrator, you can get started by setting up accounts, managing users and environments, and defining integration goals.

Before you begin

The webMethods Integration capability must be enabled. For more information, see Enabling capabilities.

Procedure

  1. To open the webMethods Hybrid Integration home page, from the side navigation menu, click webMethods Integration.
  2. Creating projects.
Create a project and add workflows and flow services to it.
  3. Create custom roles.
Create custom roles and assign them to users. Each custom role defines project-level permissions that are granted to users when a custom role is assigned to a user.
  4. Enable smart mapping.
Enable smart mapping to allow the system to provide recommendations when you map the action data.
  5. Optional: Contact your account executive to upgrade your contract and enable the listed features that are not available by default.
    Messaging
Exchange information and data between different applications, systems, or services.
SAP® ERP and IBM Power connectors
SAP® ERP connector access is restricted and is not publicly available. For more information, contact IBM® support.
IBM Power connector access is restricted and is not publicly available. This option is available exclusively for Develop Anywhere Deploy Anywhere enabled tenants. For more information, contact IBM support.
    Polling Notifications
Polling notifications are enabled only for the database connector by default. Messaging service must be enabled for polling notifications to work.
In deploy anywhere flow services, polling notifications are not supported for the database connector.
    SAP® ERP Listeners
SAP® ERP listeners are available only upon request. Contact IBM support.
    Caching in flow services
Caching stores service results based on input values, allowing faster responses by avoiding repeated processing.
    Restart and resume flow services
Use restart and resume to control the run of flow services after a failure or interruption.
