svcinfo traceroute

Use the svcinfo traceroute command to display the route that data packets from a node take to arrive at a specified host on the IP network.

Syntax

Parameters

-ip <address>
(Required) Specifies the address of the host to send the packets to. The address can be IPv4, IPv6, or a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
node_id | node_name
(Optional) Specifies the node ID or name from which to perform the trace. If no node is specified, the config node is used.

Description

This command prints WAN print route packets to a specified host.

An invocation example

svcinfo traceroute -ip myhost.example.com

The resulting output:

traceroute to myhost.example.com, 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
 1  x.xx.xx.x  0.349 ms  0.428 ms  0.508 ms
 2  x.xx.xx.xx  0.245 ms  0.224 ms  0.224 ms
