What is IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service

Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service provides a simple way to digitize key aspects of your business operations. Its capabilities address the core areas where automation is most effective: applications, workflow, decisions, content, and capture. You can use any of these capabilities as an entry point to the platform or combine them into a custom solution for your company.

When you subscribe to Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service, you get one or more dedicated cloud tenants depending on the capabilities included in your subscription. Your tenants are hosted and managed by IBM®. Each tenant is provisioned according to your requirements enabling you to focus on automating your business operations right from the start.

Your tenant includes two or more environments depending on whether you decided on an Express or an Enterprise subscription:

An Express subscription typically has two environments: development and production.
An Enterprise subscription typically has three environments: development, test, and production.

Some capabilities might have variations in the numbers of environments. Additional environments are available on request.

A single sign-on cloud portal provides your developers, content owners, and business users access to all of the environments and capabilities that are appropriate to their roles and enables them to get started quickly.
