Using the Market-based Emissions dashboard

The Market-based Emissions dashboard in IBM® Envizi ESG Suite provides insights into your organization’s electricity and renewable energy consumption, certificates, and related location-based and market-based emissions. Use the dashboard to monitor renewable energy performance, track certificate allocations, and analyze emissions data across different regions and organizational groups.

Before you begin

You might notice a discrepancy between the date selection options and the years, quarters, and months that are displayed in the Market-based Emissions dashboard grids and charts. To resolve the issue, update the organization preferences so that the Market-based Emissions and Reporting and Dashboard configurations use the same setting for last month of the fiscal year:
  1. Click Admin > Organization Preferences > Market-based Emissions.
  2. From Last month of reporting period, select the correct setting for your fiscal year period. Ensure that the setting aligns with the month that marks your fiscal year end that is defined in the Reporting and Dashboard Preferences section.
When both configurations use the same last month for the financial year, the discrepancy is resolved.

About this task

Use the Market-based Emissions dashboard to access the following views:
Inventory
View total electricity consumption and renewable energy contributions.
Renewables
Track onsite renewables, green power purchases, voluntary certificates, and renewable percentages.
Certificates
View voluntary certificate allocation across the organization.
Note: The Market-based Emissions dashboard is implemented with embedded Power BI technology, based on the Envizi ESG Suite monthly dataset. For a complete view of the organization’s market-based emissions, including non-electricity Scope 2 sources and the full electricity inventory that includes subtotals and certificate over-allocations, run the Market-based Emissions report.

Procedure

Access the dashboard:

  1. In the Envizi ESG Suite user interface, click to Monitor > Market-based Emissions.
  2. Use the following controls to refine and navigate the dashboard:
