Compare baseline or BAU forecasts with target scenarios to quantify gaps and identify where interventions are required.

About this task

Use the Scenario Analysis worksheet to assess differences between Baseline (BAU) and Target scenarios. This analysis helps you prioritize actions and evaluate tradeoffs between emissions and business growth.

Procedure

  1. Open the Scenario Analysis worksheet.
  2. Use the scenario selector to toggle between Baseline (BAU) and Target/SBTi Targets.
    Visualizations update in real time.
  3. Zoom into specific time slices or locations for detailed analysis.
  4. Apply filters using the widgets to focus on a specific utility or location.
  5. Review the vertical gap between Baseline and Target scenarios.
    This gap represents the abatement that is required to meet reduction goals.
  6. Read the Target Variance column to quantify the gap between BAU and target emissions.
    This value forms your abatement requirement.
