About this task
To copy data, you must set up IBM Storage Protect Plus as an object client to the IBM Storage Protect server. After you set up a corresponding object agent on the IBM Storage Protect server and start the service, copy operations are enabled.
You can also copy infrequently accessed data, or cold data, from the object client to the IBM Storage Protect server so that the server can store the data on physical tape media or in a virtual tape library (VTL).
