Installing the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager software

Install the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager software by using one of the following scenarios.

  • Unattended installation of a stand-alone system (if a response file is available)
  • Installation of a stand-alone system
  • Installation of a distributed system

Important: Before installing Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager, you are strongly advised to read the Release Summary for Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager. Release Summary can contain information specific to your installation that is not contained in this information. Failure to consult the release notes might result in a corrupted, incomplete or failed installation. You are also advised to refer to the following link for all the existing known issues in Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager, 1.4.1.

After the installation is complete, apply the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager1.4.1 patch that is available in the software distribution.

Note: It is recommended not to interrupt the installation at any point. The installation will exit if there is a problem.
