Installing Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server support

Install the application support for the Monitoring Agent for OpenStack to work properly with Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to install Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server support:

  1. In the directory where you extracted the installation files, run the following command:
    ./install.sh
  2. When prompted for the IBM Tivoli Monitoring home directory, press Enter to accept the default directory /opt/IBM/ITM or type the full path of the portal server installation directory.
  3. If a message is displayed stating that the directory already exists and asking whether to use it, type 1 and press Enter.
  4. If any existing IBM Tivoli Monitoring components are currently running on the computer, the installer stops the components during the installation process, then restarts the components when the installation is complete. To confirm this action, type 1 when prompted and press Enter. If you choose not to stop the components, the installation process ends.
  5. When prompted to install products to the local host, type 1 and press Enter.
  6. When the software license agreement is displayed, type 1 to accept the agreement and press Enter.
  7. If IBM GSKit is not installed on the computer, you are prompted to provide an encryption key. Use the same key across the enterprise. Either type the key or accept the default and press Enter.
  8. When a numbered list of available components is displayed, type the number for Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server support and press Enter.
  9. Type 1 to confirm your selection and press Enter.
  10. When a list of products for which the support files are to be added is displayed, type the number corresponding to IBM® Monitoring Agent for OpenStack and press Enter.
  11. Type 1 to confirm your selection and press Enter.
  12. If the system is running Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and you want to install Tivoli Enterprise Portal Browser Client support, at the prompt Do you want to install additional products or product support packages, type 1 and press Enter.
  13. At the list of component support categories, type the number for Tivoli Enterprise Portal Browser Client support and press Enter.
  14. Repeat from step 7 through step 11, selecting Tivoli Enterprise Portal Browser Client Support.
  15. At the prompt Do you want to install additional products or product support packages, type 2 and press Enter.

Results

Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server support is installed.
