iOS IBM MaaS360 6.60.6 (beta) Release Notes

IBM® MaaS360® makes the iOS app version 6.60.6 and IBM MaaS360 VPN 3.85.5 are available on the TestFlight 6 August 2026.

Following are the supported app versions.

Enhanced PDF viewing and annotation experience on iOS

This release introduces advanced PDF capabilities for iOS devices. The enhanced PDF viewer provides a streamlined experience for viewing, annotating, presenting, and managing PDF documents. Users can navigate documents in multiple view modes, add highlights and comments, create bookmarks, and present PDF content directly from the viewer.

Important: To enable the advanced PDF features, contact IBM Support.
  • When advanced PDF features are disabled, PDF content loads in read-only mode, Annotation tools, and interactive actions are not available.
  • When advanced PDF features are enabled, PDF content opens in read mode. Users can annotate by using the PDF annotations toolbar, accessible through the Annotate PDF menu options.

Administrators can now control media picker image selection on iOS devices

Previously, users had to switch between single-image and multiple-image selection in their device settings each time they used the media picker.

With this release, administrators can control the default image selection behavior for the media picker on iOS devices through the Workplace Persona policy in the IBM MaaS360 portal.

To enable or disable multiple-image selection, add the appropriate key-value pair in Workplace Persona policy Security > Advanced Configuration Details. To get the key-value pair, contact IBM Support.

This setting helps provide a consistent user experience across managed devices. When an administrator controls this setting, users can't change it on their device. In General Settings, the media picker setting displays the message as This setting is controlled by your administrator.

View certificate details in the IBM MaaS360 VPN app

The MaaS360 VPN provide a View Certificates option under General Settings. Use this option to view all certificates in the mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) certificate chain, including certificate validity dates and issuer information. This feature helps you verify certificates, retrieve updated certificates by republishing the VPN policy from IBM MaaS360 portal when needed, and quickly identify certificate validation issues.

022419752 Resolved an issue that prevented users on iOS devices from opening compressed files in IBM MaaS360 Container. When users tried to open a compressed file, the app closed unexpectedly without displaying an error message, preventing access to the file. This issue affected compressed files that are opened in IBM MaaS360 Container, regardless of their source. Compressed files now open correctly in IBM MaaS360 Container on iOS devices.
