Converting an account

Use the Convert option to convert Trial accounts to Customer accounts and in IBM® MaaS360®.

About this task

You can convert Trial accounts to Customer accounts that enable organizations to smoothly switch from evaluation to full deployment. This streamlined process minimizes administrative tasks and ensures continuity in mobile device management operations.

You can convert a Trial account to a Customer account in the following scenarios:
Expired Trial accounts
When the end and the account expire, partners can convert the Trial account to a Customer account to maintain uninterrupted service.
Active Trial accounts
If a trial customer decides to proceed with a licensed MaaS360 subscription before the trial period ends, you can proactively convert the Trial account to a Customer account without waiting for the trial to expire.

Procedure

  1. On the Accounts page, click Actions icon on the right side of the account name.
  2. Click Convert.
  3. On the Convert window, enter the number of committed licenses.
  4. Click Submit.

Results

The Trial account is converted to a Customer account. All existing configurations, enrolled devices, and policies are retained.
