Managing email sender configurations
In Advanced branding in MaaS360, you can view a list of mail sender addresses, open a
mail sender configuration to view and edit detail settings, set the mail sender configuration to
active, or delete one or more mail sender configurations.
Viewing the mail sender configuration details
Procedure

From the IBM®
MaaS360® Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
The
Advanced branding page displays the
list of mail sender configurations.
Note: The advanced branding can contain a maximum of five mail
sender configurations in addition to the existing default mail sender configuration provided by
MaaS360.
- Click a mail sender address link.
A summary report is displayed in a
slide-over window with the mail sender configuration details and information about next
actions.
Setting a mail sender configuration to active
Procedure

From the IBM
MaaS360 Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
- On the Advanced Branding page, expand Email sender
configuration.
- For a mail sender address, enable the toggle button in the Set as
active column to use it for MaaS360
Mail
communication.
Note: A mail sender configuration in Verified status can only be
set to active.
Deleting a mail sender configuration
Procedure

From the IBM
MaaS360 Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
- On the Advanced Branding page, expand Email sender
configuration.
- Click the ellipsis button for a mail sender configuration and then click
Delete.
Tip: You cannot delete the default mail sender configuration that is provided by
MaaS360.
Editing a mail sender configuration
Procedure

From the IBM
MaaS360 Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
- On the Advanced Branding page, expand Email sender
configuration.
- Click the ellipsis button for a mail sender configuration and then click
Edit.
A summary report is displayed in a slide-over
window.
- On the summary report, select the tab that contains the categories that you want to edit
and make your changes.
- Click Save.
Tip: You cannot edit the default mail sender configuration that is provided by
MaaS360.
Important: After you edit a mail sender configuration, you must download and publish the
DNS records to the DNS provider of the domain to show the updates. For more information on
downloading DNS records, see
Downloading DNS records.
Sending a test mail
Procedure

From the IBM
MaaS360 Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
- On the Advanced Branding page, expand Email sender
configuration.
- Click the ellipsis button for a mail sender configuration and then click Send
test mail.
Tip: You cannot send test mail to the default mail sender address provided by
MaaS360.
Note: This option is available only for mail sender configurations that are in verified status.
A test mail is sent to the configured mail sender address.
Downloading DNS records
Procedure

From the IBM
MaaS360 Portal
Home page, select .
- On the Brand My Portal page, click Advanced
branding.
- On the Advanced Branding page, expand Email sender
configuration.
- Click the ellipsis button for a mail sender configuration and then click
Download DNS records.
The DNS records are downloaded and you must publish the DNS records to the DNS provider
of the domain.
Note: The DNS provider might take up to 72 hours to detect the DNS
records.
