Managing related record relationships
In the certifications, ticket, permit to work, work order, and operator log applications, you can relate the current record in a related record relationship. You can relate the current record to one or more certifications, tickets, permits to work, work orders, or operator log entries. Additionally, you can create related record relationships between certifications and tickets or work orders, and between audit and survey records and tickets or work orders.
A related record relationship is for your own information. Related record relationships can be one to many. They do not represent record hierarchies. Related records do not affect status inheritance or workflow, and no business rules apply to these relationships.
You can also create a relationship between records when you create a record in an application that is linked to another application. For example, if you create an investigation record from the Incidents application, a relationship is created between the incident record (originating) and the investigation record (follow-up).
Work orders that are included in work packages in the Action Tracking application are not considered to be related records.
