You create related record relationships for your own information.
Related records do not affect status inheritance or workflow, and
no business rules apply to these relationships.
About this task
You can create related record relationships between tickets, permits to work, work orders, or
operator log entries in multiple ways.
Additionally, you can create related record relationships between certifications and tickets or
work orders, and between audit and survey records and tickets or work orders. Follow the steps in
this procedure for relating a record to one or more tickets and work orders.

In the ticket, permit to work, work order, or operator log applications, display the record
that you want to relate to a ticket, permit to work, work order, or operator log entry.

Relate the current record to one or more tickets, permits to work, work orders, or operator log
entries:

- On the Related Records tab, click Select

- Select one or more tickets, and then click OK.

- On the Related Records tab, click Select Permits to
Work.
- Select one or more permits to work, and then click OK.

- On the Related Records tab, click Select Log

- Select one or more shift logs that contain log entries, and then click
OK.

- From the More Actions menu, select Show Similar
Tickets.
- Select one or more tickets, and then click the option that corresponds to the relationship that
you want to create.
- Click OK.

- In the field that you want to match, click Detail Menu.
- Select the action that corresponds to the type of records for which you want a list.
- Select one or more tickets or work orders, and then click Related
Records.
