Reducing the data server startup time

The startup time for the data server might be significant. As a result, you might need to manually reduce the startup time. To manually reduce the startup time, configure the AutoStartDataImport system property.

About this task

During a solution installation, to ensure a reduced startup time for the data server, the AutoStartDataImport system property is automatically configured to false. After the installation completes, the system property is automatically set to the default value of true. If you need to perform tasks that require the data server to restart, use the following procedure to manually reduce the startup time for the data server.

Procedure

  1. Set the AutoStartDataImport system property to false.
  2. Perform your required tasks on the data server, and restart the data server as required.
  3. Set the AutoStartDataImport system property to true.
