Configuring solution applications
As an administrator, you can create and manage Device Management Enablement solution applications. A solution application is
an instantiated application that consists of the Device Management Enablement supporting application and optionally one or
more other supporting applications.
Creating solution applications
Create a solution application that includes the Device Management Enablement supporting application. You can optionally
include more supporting applications in your solution. A sample Device Management Enablement solution application named Sunshine is
provided.
Configuring properties and supporting applications of a solution application
Update the ID, name, description, and supporting applications of a Device Management Enablement solution application.
Deleting solution applications
Remove a Device Management Enablement solution
application.
Extending a solution application
Create, customize, move, and delete functionality in your Device Management Enablement solution application.
Configuring semantic models
Create, synchronize, extend, and delete semantic models in your Device Management Enablement solution application. The semantic model, which
is known as the Reference Semantic Model (RSM), provides a framework to create device-based solution
applications. It supports the integration of operational data and related enterprise applications.
You can extend the semantic model to define custom asset types, asset instances, and relationships
between assets.
