Locations

In the cost model feature, Locations represent logical or geographical boundaries that are used to segment cost definitions. This allows organizations to apply different cost structures based on where an item is used, stored, or managed.

Purpose of locations

Regional cost differentiation
Apply cost logic specific to a country, division, or district.
Data segmentation
Filter items based on location-specific conditions.
User access control
Assign users who can manage cost models for each location.
Important: The default location must always be present in the system and cannot be deleted or edited except for user management. It serves as a catch-all for items whose locations have not been defined.
