Supplier Assessment

Supplier assessment is gathering specific information about suppliers and their business through questionnaires. It is the process of asking users, both internal and external, questions for specific information.

Supplier assessment is carried out to evaluate a supplier, based on the specific requirements of the buyer organization.

For example, if a supplier lists their association to a specific category of materials during registration, then the supplier can be asked questions on the category of materials.

The requirements are transformed into questions in a questionnaire that the internal and external users must answer.

Each requirement type has a questionnaire that is associated to it.

Initiating Supplier Assessments
You can initiate a supplier assessment from the Supplier Qualification module.
Answering Questionnaires
Internal and external users can answer the questionnaire from the Execute Tasks menu of the Supplier Qualification module.
Editing Participants
You can edit the participants in the Supplier Qualification module, when the assessment status is Started, In-progress, or Finished. You must have at least one participant that has the Responsible, Respondent, and Releaser user roles.
Editing Master Data
You can edit the master data in the Supplier Qualification module, when the supplier assessment status is Started, In-progress, or Finished.
Editing Timeline
You can edit the timeline in the Supplier Qualification module, when the supplier assessment status is Started, In-progress, or Finished.
Reopening Assessments
You can reopen an assessment when the information provided by a supplier is not clear or is contradicting between internal and external respondents.
Canceling Assessments
You can cancel an assessment when it is in the Started state. Users with the Responsible and Administrator role can cancel an assessment. Assessments still in creation status can be canceled
Approving Supplier Assessments
After the supplier assessment is reviewed by the Releaser user, the approvers can use the link received in the mail or log on to the Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle application to approve the supplier assessment in the Supplier Qualification module.
Releasing Supplier Assessments
You can release a supplier assessment from the Execute tasks menu of the Supplier Qualification module.
Supplier Assessment Series
In the Supplier Qualification module, an assessment series creates multiple assessments over a specified period, at fixed intervals.
Creating Bulk Assessments
You can create assessments based on a single template for a large number of suppliers at once through the bulk assessments functionality. You can create bulk assessments when companies carry out similar assessments for many suppliers.
Editing Bulk Participants
You can update participants of multiple supplier qualifications.
Starting Bulk Assessments
You can start bulk assessments for suppliers in the Supplier Qualification menu.
Releasing Bulk Assessments
After the bulk assessments are responded and the status is marked as Finished by the Respondent users, you can release the assessments in bulk.
