Contract Presentation

You can present a contract online to the primary external contact of the primary party. You can also present it to more than one party offline or by email.

Permissions for users

When a contract is presented online to the primary contract of the primary external party, that user is provided a read-only access to it and all future presented revisions. The read-only permission is applicable until the contract remains in the In Negotiation status.

The primary contact of the primary external party can view the contract in the language in which the contract is created and presented.

Contract properties for presentation

A contract can be presented when all the required properties and approvals are complete. You can also present a set of contracts from the repository.

Note: Some mandatory properties for presentation or execution can be configured by the IBM Emptoris Customer within the contract template that is used to create the contract.

When a contract is presented, certain properties are hidden from external parties. The following components of a contract are not available online to external party users.

  • History of deleted clauses and clause revisions
  • Changes to terms
  • Internal comments
  • Underlying properties
  • Attachment removal or revisions

Presentation method

You can use a different presentation method every time that you present a contract. You can use the online method for presenting the contract to primary party primary contact. You can use the offline or email method for presenting the contract to multiple parties. You can also present withdrawn contracts that are restored, or contracts that are saved as new ones, assuming that the presentation method is enabled.

On presentation, the contract’s presentation method or negotiability is indicated beneath the Header tab. The presentation activity is recorded beneath the Activity tab along with the presentation method.

Viewing revisions

When you present a contract, you present its latest saved revision. You can compare future versions and revisions against the first and last presented ones. To send marked-up language, you can either present the contract by email or manually view and save it as a new .docx file and send it manually outside of Emptoris® Contract Management

Execution

If the customer has configured settings in the Administration, you can skip the presentation step and proceed to execution.
