Upgrading from 24.0.0

Upgrade your Cloud Pak for Business Automation from 24.0.0 to 24.0.1.

Before you begin

To prevent any connection problems during the upgrade, make sure that the passwords that you use, for databases and LDAP, are not about to expire and refresh them if they are. The LDAP bind secret "ldap-bind-secret" is set in the lc_bind_secret parameter in the following ldap_configuration section.

Important:
  • If you included IBM FileNet® Content Manager in your deployment and the Content Platform Engine application server uses LDAP instead of SCIM as the directory configuration, you must change the bind user credentials in the FileNet domain before you change the credentials in the directory server. For more information, see Update directory service bind user credentials.
  • If you included IBM FileNet Content Manager in your deployment and the object stores contains large number of documents, then you need to follow the steps in Best Practice: Upgrading to Content Platform Engine V5.5.9 or higher before you upgrade your Cloud Pak for Business Automation deployment.

About this task

You can upgrade to 24.0.1 by using the scripts only. Upgrading to 24.0.1 by using the Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform console is not supported.
