Configuring IBM Business Automation Workflow on IBM Cloud Automation Manager
For 19.0.1 You can install IBM Business Automation Workflow on IBM Cloud Automation Manager to deploy on IBM Cloud Pak for Automation. If you already know how to use IBM Cloud Automation Manager to deploy an IBM Business Automation Workflow instance, you can skip this guide and go to IBM Cloud Automation Manager directly.
Before you begin
Important: The deployment of IBM Business Automation Workflow automatically
configures the system for business process management but it does
not automatically configure case management. If you intend to use
the case management functionality, follow the procedure in step 2 of the What to do next section.
Make sure that you complete the preparation steps that are listed in Preparing to install IBM Business Automation Workflow on IBM Cloud Automation Manager.
Procedure
Choose one of the following templates and deploy IBM Business Automation Workflow:
IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise V19 on a single virtual machine
IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise V19 with IBM HTTP Server on multiple virtual machines

- After the server is started, if you want to use the
case management features, complete the following additional steps:
- To use the embedded Content Platform Engine, you must run the createObjectStoreForContent command. Or, if you already have an external Content Platform Engine and want to use it, follow the instructions in Configuring IBM Business Automation Workflow with an existing external ECM server.
- To configure case management, follow the instructions in Configuring your system for case management.
- If you already have an external IBM Content Navigator and want to use it, follow the instructions in Configuring IBM Business Automation Workflow with an external IBM Content Navigator.
- Visit IBM Support Fix Central to check for available fix packs. If upgrades are available, install them by following the procedure in Updating IBM Business Automation Workflow on IBM Cloud Automation Manager deployments.
