Configuring IBM Data Studio

After you install IBM Data Studio on the ICFM tools client, you must create a new database connection for the Counter Fraud database.

Procedure

To create a new database connection for the Counter Fraud database:

  1. Open the Data Studio client. Note that the connection to the data server already exists in the Administration Explorer view.
  2. In the Administration Explorer view, expand All Databases and then expand the server.
  3. Expand the db24core instance.
  4. Right-click CFDB and then click Connect.
  5. In Driver Properties, enter the database user name and password. Select Save password if you want to save the database credentials. The database user name is set with the CFM.DB.CONN.USER property-value pair in the /cfm20/topology/CFM.x.properties file (default value is db24core). The database password is set with the CFM.DB.CONN.USER.PWD property-value pair in the /cfm20/topology/CFM.x.properties file.
  6. Click OK to close the connection properties window.
