Comparing configurations in views

In IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights (ENI) views, you can use the compare configuration feature to select different colors to identify artifacts and links that belong to different streams or to both the streams.

About this task

You can select a view-specific configuration in ENI views. For more information, see Selecting a configuration for a view. You can select couple of configurations to compare and corresponding colors. Based on the color that is selected for the configurations, the color-coding is applied to the artifacts and links between the artifacts.

Procedure

  1. Open the view in view mode.
  2. Click Compare configurations.

  3. On the Compare configurations page, select the streams for Configuration 1 and Configuration 2.
  4. On the Compare configurations page, select different colors corresponding to Configuration 1 and Configuration 2.
  5. Select the Common color.

  6. Click Ok.

Results

Artifacts that are present in either Configuration 1 or Configuration 2 stream is displayed in the corresponding selected color.

Artifacts that are present in Configuration 1 and Configuration 2 streams are displayed in the selected Common color.

Based on the color that is selected for the Configuration 1 and Configuration 2, the color-coding is applied to the links between the artifacts.

After compare configuration, artifacts belonging to different streams are displayed in different colors
