Coding the Logon Panel

After the user presses Enter from the logo panel, the logon panel is displayed. It prompts for user ID and password as shown in Figure 1.

Enter  F3=Logoff
The dialog that processes the logon is KLSZPLOG. It performs four functions:
  1. Prompts for user ID and password.
  2. Validates the user ID and password.
  3. Gives the user the opportunity to log off.
  4. Returns an indication of the success of the validation.

KLSZPLOG is divided into five figures for ease of explanation. The dialog is contained in one member.
