Resetting your password

If you are a standard user whose access to Watson™ Care Manager is verified by the IBM App ID service by default and you forget your password, you can reset it directly from the sign in page.

About this task

You can reset your password once per hour. If you attempt to reset it more than once an hour, an error message is displayed. Wait for the time indicated in the message, then try to reset again.
Important: If your access to Watson Care Manager is managed by a third-party identity provider, this procedure does not apply to you. Your password reset process and password rules are determined by your identity provider.
Important: You password must be at least 8 characters, and include at least 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 number, and 1 of the following special characters: \s!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~.

Procedure

  1. Open the URL that is associated with your account details. The sign in page opens.
  2. Click the Forgot password? to reset your password.
  3. Enter the email address that is associated with your account.
  4. Click Reset password.
  5. A password reset email is sent to your email address.
  6. To complete resetting your user password, follow the instructions in the email that you receive. The email subject is Your password has been changed. The email provides a link to set a new password. The link is valid for 24 hours only. However, this period might be different for your organization.
