Message list page

If you select a queue other than a create queue of type main, a table with the messages on that queue is displayed. Each row in the table corresponds to one message. Only messages to which you have access are shown. The queue name and its corresponding queue type are displayed together with the OU name in the heading on the right side of the list.

Actions for a message are available from a pop-up menu. To access the menu:
  • Using a mouse, right-click on the row for a message
  • Using the keyboard, use the cursor keys to move the cell focus into the row and then press Shift+F10
The available actions for a message depend on several factors. These factors include your access rights, the purpose and type of the queue, the lock status of the message, and more. Icons in the Flag column indicate messages that are locked by another user, and messages that must be processed by another user. The actions Submit, Accept, Reject, and custom actions can be switched off for the message list. In that case, open the message to select the action.

Some actions can be performed on several messages simultaneously. Hold down the Shift or Control key while selecting additional messages, then access the menu. Actions that are possible only for a single message (for example, View or Open) are not listed. If the action you choose is not available on all of the selected messages, a warning is displayed. You can then choose to cancel the action, or to perform it on only those messages for which it is available.

When an action is performed on one or more messages, the message list updates immediately. If the action is executed by a routing flow, the message disappears from the list. However, actions of other users or system activity that changes the message list are not automatically reflected in the list. Some messages might be in the list but no longer in the queue, while other messages might be in the queue but not yet listed. Click the Refresh button next to the page title to refresh the message list.
