Administering Product Master

You can perform administrative tasks for Product Master , such as creating database schema, creating company, assigning roles, or scaling the service. Ensure that you have the required permissions to complete tasks.

Service configuration

Create a company Instance administrator Create a company to use for logging in to the application.
Assigning roles in Product Master Instance administrator Assign appropriate roles to the Product Master users.

Installing MongoDB Cluster administrator To use the Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Machine learning (ML) features of the Product Master service, you need to install MongoDB by using the Helm chart.
Customizing Product Master Cluster administrator Use default image for deployment and then proceed with customization.
Upgrading specific images Cluster administrator To upgrade a specific image.
Enabling external MQ service Instance administrator To enable external MQ service for using GDS service.
Accessing ML APIs externally Instance administrator To access Machine learning APIs through a browser.

Resource management

Manually scaling resources for services Instance administrator Adjust Product Master by scaling resources to support high availability or to increase processing capacity. Resources can be scaled based on predefined resource configurations.
Automatically scaling resources for services Instance administrator Enable autoscaling with the OpenShift® Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA). The HPA changes the resource allocation of services by increasing or decreasing the number of pods in response to CPU or memory consumption.
Shutting down and restarting services Instance administrator Manually shut down Product Master to prevent it from using resources. You can restart the service when you need to use it again.
