Licensing for Enterprise Application Service for Java
Use of Enterprise Application Service for Java is governed by the service description. You consent to these terms when you purchase access to the service.
Important: This licensing guide provides supplementary information to assist you in
deploying the programs you have licensed from IBM® within
your purchased entitlement. Your license agreement (such as the IBM International Program License Agreement (IPLA) or
equivalent, and its transaction documents, including the License Information for Enterprise Application Service for Java) is the sole and complete agreement between you
and IBM regarding use of the program.

Service level agreement
IBM provides clients with the following
availability service level agreement (SLA). IBM
applies the highest applicable compensation based on the cumulative availability of Enterprise Application Service for Java as shown in the following table. The
availability percentage is calculated as the total number of minutes in a contracted month, minus
the total number of minutes that the service is unavailable in the contracted month, divided by the
total number of minutes in the contracted month. For more information, see the IBM Cloud Service support handbook.

It is the client's responsibility to report outage impacts in order to qualify for service level agreement credit. For more information, see Incident and operations management.
Charge metrics
The charge metrics for the Enterprise Application Service for Java are specified in the transaction document.
The following charge metrics apply to Enterprise Application Service for Java:
- Virtual Processor Core-Hour is each hour a Virtual Processor Core is available to or managed by the Cloud Service. A Virtual Processor Core is a standard capacity, virtualized processor that is available to or managed by the Cloud Services. The Virtual Processor Core-Hour metric is only applicable to the compute usage.
- Gigabyte Transmitted is each GB (2 to the 30th power bytes) of data transmitted to and from the Cloud Services. The Gigabyte Transmitted metric is only applicable to the network usage.
