You can specify whether you want to upgrade your system to the new translation technique by using the keyword RNAMEDSN in the startup procedure.

RNAMEDSN = YES | NO

When you specify YES, DFSMShsm invokes the new method of translation, which uses the CDS and journal data set names. When you specify NO, you are saying that you want to continue to keep the old method of translation; however, in a sysplex with multiple HSMplexes, one HSMplex may interfere with another. The default for the RNAMEDSN keyword is NO.
