Command availability management

Previous topics have described how you can automatically cause DFSMShsm to dump and back up your data sets. However, you may want to dump a volume or back up data sets or volumes at a time other than when automatic availability management would cause the backup or dump. Also, when a data set or volume is damaged, either physically or logically, you want to access the dumped or backed up versions to replace the damaged data. Command availability management allows you to accomplish these functions. You can perform the following tasks using availability management commands:
