Form definitions

A form definition must contain one or more copy groups. Many of your form definitions contain a single copy group. In this case, all the pages of the print job are printed according to the same form specifications. However, if your job requires different specifications for different pages of output, you can use a form definition that contains multiple copy groups.

To begin printing a data set, PSF selects the first copy group in a form definition, unless the data set begins with a control record that includes instructions to select a different copy group. A copy group within a form definition can be selected by a structured field in a print data set or by conditional processing in a page definition.
