Downloading updates from IBM Fix Central

You can access and download updates from IBM® Fix Central.

About this task

Download updates for your existing virtual patterns and virtual images from IBM Fix Central. If you want to purchase patterns, use IBM Passport Advantage®.

Procedure

  1. Access IBM Fix Central at https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral.
    1. Click Select product.
    2. In the Product Group menu, select PureSystems.
    3. In the Select from PureSystems field, select Cloud Pak System Software.
    4. In the Installed Version field, select the version that is currently installed on your system.
    5. In the Platform field, select the platform for your system.
    6. Click Continue.
  2. If you know the ID for the fix that you want to download, enter it in the Individual fix IDs field. Otherwise, select Browse for fixes.
    1. Click Continue.
  3. Select the updates that you want to apply to your system:
    IBM Cloud Pak System Software upgrade
    Download this file to upgrade your system a later version.
    Pattern updates
    Download updates for specific pattern types, add-ons and shared services. For example, download the Foundation Pattern Type to upgrade this pattern type on your system.
    Note: If you are prompted to use an entitlement key, use the entitlement key that you received with your purchase agreement to download updates from Fix Central that require entitlement.
    1. Click Continue.
  4. Install the updates to your system. For more information, see the Related tasks and Related information sections.
