Replace the control panel in a model 505

You might need to replace the control panel in the server. Use the procedure in this section to perform this task.

1. Align the control panel with the chassis opening.
2. Guide the control panel cable A through the chassis opening towards the cable connector B on the system backplane.
3. Connect the cable B.
4. Push the control panel C in until it latches into place.

5. Install the service access cover. Refer to Install the service access cover on the rack-mounted model 505.
6. Place the server in the operating position. Refer to Place the model 505 in the operating position.
7. Reconnect all system cables.
8. Start the system. Refer to Start the system or logical partition.
9. Verify the installed part. Refer to Verify the installed part.
