Oracle has further
increased support of IBM’s Live Partition Mobility (LPM) feature by adding
support for GPFS when running the RAC feature of its Database 11g Release 2 on AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1. Please see the

Partition Mobility running with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 and RAC with ASM.

Release 2 (188.8.131.52 and above) with GPFS 3.4 is now certified to be used

minimum service level of TL07 SP03 (6100-07-03-1207)
and on AIX 7.1 with a minimum service
level of TL01 SP03 (7100-01-03-1207).
