So, someone asked you to install InfoSphere DataStage Server for a new environment in your enterprise, or, to install the new DS version.
You, obviously, ask for the media (CD/DVD/zip) to install it, but, then you realize that you have to obtain it from wherever it's legal to obtain. Question now is... where? how?
Here are some links to download installation packages of InfoSphere DataStage Server 8.7 for different operating systems from IBM Passport Advantage.
So start downloading and install IS DataStage!!
InfoSphere DataStage Server, Version 8.7, for AIX
Download InfoSphere DataStage Server, Version 8.7, for HP-UX
InfoSphere DataStage Server, Version 8.7, for Linux
Download InfoSphere DataStage Server, Version 8.7, for Solaris
InfoSphere DataStage Server, Version 8.7, for Windows
Remember that in www.ibm.com, you can find the Information Center that include documentation for this and other versions.

Here are the steps you may follow to collect the support information:
1. Login to the PIM installation server side as your PIM user.
2. Run the $TOP$ ./pimSupport.sh -l all -b -p aaaaa.bbb.ccc
You may use the following parameters. Note the value after parameter "-p" is the PMR number separated by "." instead of ",".
Here is an example output:

Collecting information on DB2
All results can be found in [$TO
3. Ftp the output file from this location to our support ftp server.
