Got one! Noticed this comment in the readme for OpenSSL 0.9.8.1302:
"OpenSSL 0.9.8.1302 for AIX 5.3 , AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.0 contains the latest version OpenSSL 0.9.8m"
I think they meant to say 7.1

Well, 7.0 was released as the beta and then replaced by 7.1. So yes, 7.0 is not current but it once was, so I think you get half a point at the Geek Party.

Nigel Griffiths (https://twitter.com/#!/mr_nmon) tweeted the answer to this puzzle about non-existent releases:

"Well developers write the doc's 6 months in advance &the marketing folk make up their minds 6 hours before announce!"

Half a point - this is a gross injustice!
I'm appealing for a full point - I've got a copy of the AIX 7 beta running and it seems to think it's 7.1:

*******************************************************************************
* *
* *
* Welcome to AIX Version 7 Beta! *
* *
* *
* Please see the README file in /usr/lpp/bos for information pertinent to *
* this release of the AIX Operating System. *
* *
* *
*******************************************************************************
# oslevel -s
7100-00-00
# lslpp -al bos.rte
Fileset Level State Description
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
bos.rte 7.1.0.0 COMMITTED Base Operating System Runtime

Path: /etc/objrepos
bos.rte 7.1.0.0 COMMITTED Base Operating System Runtime

Don't take it too hard, old boy. You're the only one who's expressed any interest in the Geek Party so you'll probably win anyway.

I'm glad they've been releasing the beta version since AIX 6. It gives a chance to iron out some of the wrinkles.
