Wonderful comments and information on today's call:

* Architecture success tips apply to mobile development too!

* Regarding end-to-end development and requirements "categories":
FURPS (Functionality, Usability, Reliability, Performance and Supportability) which comes from Mr. Grady, HP and similar concepts in ISO 9126 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_9126

* Over the years, one pattern I always see is a "frenzied" move to a new "programming paradigm" and/or "platform", almost "throwing away" all the knowledge we ever learned that helped us be successful to date. [Snook]

* [Pete Cripps] Agree on Rogers point about throwing away what we have learnt each time a new technology is introduced. See my anti-pattern on this: http://softwarearchitecturezen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/architecture-antipatterns-pattern-3.html
