Pinned topic Customized Column Headers in Folders

‏2013-05-15T16:09:56Z |

Hi,

Is there a way in ICN, we can add customized columns to be displayed based on the folder name.

e..g "Mailing" folder will display the columns as "Name","Mailed Date","Tracking Number" etc. and Order folder will display "Name","Order Id","Order Date" etc.

I could not find anyway in ICN to do that. Please advise.

Thanks

I had quite the same concern about column displays.

I was able to solve it because in "Mailing" folder are stored document from "Mail" class, and in "Order" folder are stored "Invoices" documents.

As soon as "Order Id", "Order Date" are not in the "Mail" class, the column won't be display in your "Mailing" folder, even if set in ICN.

To be clear, the only columns that are displayed are those which contained documents class are using.

    Best regards,

    Nicolas

    Thanks Nicolas.

I am looking for something like in WPXT  "Folder->Prefrences->Customize Columns", but to be configurable at the top level.

    Thanks

    HI,

I have ICN 2.0.1 with FileNet P8. I want to change the column header for some of my folders in a repository i.e. I want to add some custom properties in replacement of " system properties"  as per requirement. So do you have any solution to make it happen, as i also need to "SORT" the document as per the "Date Last Modified".

    Please guide ASAP.

    Best Regards

I believe ICN only has the capability to change columns for the entire browse feature - not the ability to have different columns based on certain folders.

To achieve what you want, you will need to create a plugin that overrides the openFolder service and rearrange or change how columns are returned in the JSON response.

    Hi Arron,

I wonder if there is a way to get all possible columns (Name, Modified on/by, Date added, etc.) to be displayed/selected and then pass them to java code (response filter)

    Thanks for you help,

    Jeyhun

I have found that you can sort documents according to required custom field.

But I couldn't do the same for custom float value.

Update: Hmm... Something else is missing. I cannot reproduce the adding of the new column to the pane.

    Best Regards,

    Alexander.
