Pinned topic Match Action for Response rules

‏2013-02-01T09:33:48Z |
Hi,

I have scenario with json as request and json or XML or SOAP as response.I am using match action (URL) for different request rules(GET,POST,DELETE..) once the response comes (GET,POST,DELETE..) how can we go to the respective response rule without default response rule.
In most samples we have seen that another service is setting http headers which is not possible in our case.

Can you use the Content-Type header to differentiate between JSON and XML responses?

    Hi,

Do you mean to say you have different response rules for different HTTP methods ( GET, POST, DELETE ) irrespective of XML and JSON ?
If yes, they you can create separate match rule ( Matching Type as HTTP Method instead of URL and select required HTTP Method ) and associate with corresponding response rule.
    Hope this helps!
