Pinned topic cannot communicate with queue manager, reason 2058

‏2012-10-04T20:25:47Z |
I'm implementing my first Message Broker v8 message flow. It is a simple MQ_Input -> Compute -> MQ_Output flow. I have established queues using commands:

crtmqm QUEUEMGRSIMPLE1
strmqm QUEUEMGRSIMPLE1
runmqsc QUEUEMGRSIMPLE1
DEFINE QLOCAL(SIMPLE_IN)

where SIMPLE_IN is the name of the queue associated with MQ_Input.

I attempt to enqueue the queue, but keep getting the error, "cannot communicate with queue manager ... reason 2058"

I get the same error code when I use:
amqsput SIMPLE_IN

How can I set up the queue manager so that enqueue works? Thanks.

your amqsput command assumes a default qmgr.
You don't have a default qmgr (as per your crtmqm command)
Correct the amqsput command to also pass the qmgr name

Thanks for the reply. I got around the problem via another approach. /thread
